1. India Gate

India Gate is a war memorial built in 1931 to 82000 Indian soldiers of Indian Army who died during the First World War. This memorial is open 24 hours and entry is free. India Gate area is known for its open lawns and open grassy stretch.  War Museum is also being constructed in the adjoining park area and which will be completed by July 31 2020.

2. Rashtrapati Bhawan


Rashtrapati Bhawan is the official residence of the President of India. Entry is restricted by pass.

3. Rajghat

Rajghat is a memorial dedicated to the father of the Nation Mahtma Gandhi. It is a black marble platform that marks the exact spot of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation. This memorial is located on the banks River Yamuna.

If you are looking for the cheapest items then visit this market on Monday as every Monday the big stores at this places are closed and you can find lot of small vendors selling variety of stuff like garments, curtains, table cloths, bags, artificial jewelry, export surplus and rejected garments, footwear (wholesale and retails), mats and other items at cheap rates. Gaffar Market is the area in Karol Bagh Market famous for Chinese electronics products like Air conditioner, imported LED TV, Mobile phones and mobile accessories at a cheaper price.

Fix Price & Barging Items.

Rates are fixed at malls and big shopping stores. But most of the items on Monday shopping bazaar are available at cheap rates if you can use your bargaining skills. Some sellers have a “Fix Price Board” and most of these vendors do not lower prices. But majority of sellers reduce their price by more than 60% , so you need to have good bargaining skills to get items for cheap. But don’t expect trial at these street side shops so choose your items carefully.

Janpath market located few meters from Palika Bazar is a wonderful  street shopping place  located in Connaught place area.
