Rohtang Pass is situated at 13051 feet above sea level on the way to Leh. Also known as the snow point this place is the most famous tourist attraction in Kullu Manali. Rohtang Pass is Known for its scenic beauty and amazing view. It is the most popular tour place in Kullu Manali. Snow point is closed on Tuesdays Because of that there may be huge Rush of tourists on Monday and Wednesday. Due to Traffic Jams on this route Taxis form other states are normally not allowed to Rohtang Pass. The Distance from Manali to Rohtang Pass is 51 Kms. Road to Rohtang Pass is Narrow so it may take 2 Hour to reach there. Rohtang Pass remains closed during winters due to heavy snow fall. April to June is the best season to visit Rohtang Pass. Travelers can enjoy skiing and trekking using Ski sets. Sledges are available on rent at the venue.
Travel Tips for Visiting Rohtang Pass-Snow Point.
1. It is better to start your Trip to Rohtang pass around 4 Am to avoid the heavy traffic congestion on the way to Rohtang Pass.
2. Prior Permission is required to visit the Rohtang Pass as National Green tribunal has restricted the number of vehicles to Rohtang Pass to 1,000 per day(Petrol Vehicle 600 and Diesel 400).
3. The weather in Rohtang Pass is unpredictable and Normal winter dresses can’t withstand the chilly climate of Snow point.
4. Snow Dresses and Shoes are available on rent in and around Manali. The cab driver will take you to the shops located on the way to Snow Point. Please check the dresses and shoes properly before leaving the shop. You can try dresses and shoes inside the shop.
5. In addition to the normal warm dresses carry an extra pair of woolen socks, a head cap and a pair of earmuffs and Gloves.
6. The height of Rohtang Pass can cause altitude sickness so keep some medicine handy before heading towards the snow point.
7. You can buy tea and noodles from a small tea stall at Rohtang Pass. Other food items are not available.
8. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
9. Vehicles are allowed up to snow point so ask your driver to take you up to the snow point.
10. Carry Light woolen clothes even in summer. In monsoon season be prepared for heavy rain and winds. Tourists visiting Kullu Manali in the winter should be prepared for freezing temperatures and potentially heavy snowfall.
11. Rohtang Pass will be closed every Tuesday for road maintenance work.

This side valley is situated at 8400 above the sea level and is 13 km away from Manali.It is a place where the ski school of Kullu Manali is located. The best season to visit Solang valley is from January to February. Solang valley is an ideal place to indulge in snow activities. Experience the softness of fresh snow, enjoy a cable car ride to reach the top of this valley and view the snow covered mountains from there. It is a perfect place to enjoy Paragliding, Amateur Skiing, Snow Scooter, Zorbing, Quad (ATV) etc. All adventure sports in Manali are closed during monsoon. Once it was the capital city of Kullu. The main attractions of Naggar are an ancient castle of stone and wood and a Gallery exhibiting the painting of a Russian artist Nicholas Roerich and some ancient temples.
HADIMBA DEVI TEMPLE
Hadimba Devi Temple
It is a 500 year old temple situated in Manali. This shrine doesn’t have an idol but only foot prints on a big stone. The Temple was dedicated to Hidimba Devi. It is an ancient cave temple. Every year on the month of savan a fair is organized which is known as Saroohni or Bahadur Singh Re Jatar.
PANDOH DAM
It is a dam on the River Beas. It is a Hydro electric power dam. It was built in 1977 .It has a beautiful manmade lake known as Pandoh lake. The scenic beauty around the dam is amazing.
BHIRGU LAKE
Bhirgu Lake is located 6 km away from Rhotang valley and Gulaba village. One should trek to Bhirgu Lake from Vashishth temple dedicated for Lord Ram which is famous for its hot water spring with medicinal properties in it.
BHIJLI MAHADEV
Located 22 km from Manali , this temple is considered as one of the ancient Temples in North India. There is an amazing view of Parvati Valley and kullu from the temple. The place is also famous for some Miracles. During the winter season this place is fully covered with snow so visitors are not allowed from December to March.
